‘Congress should not create obstacles,’ PM Modi on Ram Temple issue in an interview to ANI

Prime Minister Modi in an interview to the news agency ANI said that the decision on an ordinance on the Ram temple will only be brought after the judicial procedure is concluded. He asserted that the BJP in its manifesto had also mentioned that the solution to the Ram temple issue would be brought under the ambit of the Constitution. When questioned why the government has not brought in an ordinance in Ram Temple issue like it did in Triple Talaq case, PM Modi said that that the Triple Talaq ordinance was brought in after the Supreme Court verdict in 2017 which banned instant triple talaq among the Muslims. Blaming the Congress for delaying the construction of Ram Temple, PM Modi said, “Nobody can deny that those sitting in the governments in the last 70 years have tried their best to stall a solution to this Ayodhya issue.” He further added that the Congress should “not create obstacles” and let the judicial process take its own course.
