HC takes serious note of not implementing its order over teachers appointment

The Hindu

Taking a serious note of its last week direction not being enforced, the Telangana High Court on Monday sought to know why the State government failed to issue contractual appointment orders to 1,382 candidates of the District Selection Committee of 2008 for teacher posts. A bench of Justices Abhinand Kumar Shavili and Tirumala Devi Eada, which instructed the top officials to issue appointment orders, asked why the authorities did not turn up before it to explain status of the matter. On February 3, the bench instructed the top officials to issue contractual appointment orders to the petitioners by Monday. When the matter came up for hearing on Monday morning, the government counsel informed the bench that authorities were in the process of issuing orders.
