Support for coalition parties drops and newbies are on the rise
With just two or three weeks to go before the new cabinet is presented to the public, support for the three biggest coalition parties is shrinking, according to the latest poll of polls. It now appears as if support for prime minister Mark Rutte’s VVD may be dented with some traditional supporters fearing the party has moved too far to the left, poll of polls creator Tom Louwerse said. D66, which emerged as the second biggest party after the March general election, would win 17 to 23 seats if there was a new vote, or between 11% and 15% support. The far right PVV remains the third biggest party in the poll, with 16 to 20 seats, or between 11% and 13% support.
