Consumer spending pushed Dutch economic growth in first quarter

The Dutch economy grew in the first three months of this year compared to the closing quarter of 2021 after all. Compared to the same period last year, the Dutch economy grew by 6.7 percent instead of the previous estimate’s 7 percent. Households also generally had more income in the first quarter of this year compared to a year ago, CBS said. CBS also reported that mortgage debt has increased in the first quarter by over 10 billion euros to more than 795 billion euros.
