A major TV network is in turmoil as speculation mounts that one of its star performers is facing the axe. In the latest news, former ABC star Karina Cavarlho is set to share the Channel Seven Melbourne weekend news desk with Mike Amor from Saturday. According to the rumour the on-air talent is a much admired employee with the station The 'high profile' talent, who is a woman, is set to be replaced by a 'fresher face' reported the Herald Sun on Saturday Elsewhere in the chat, Karina said enjoyed being back in Melbourne after being based there while she was working at ABC News Breakfast. Karina revealed in December 2023 that she had quit her job as the ABC News channel presenter after 17 years with the broadcaster. Karina's impressive career includes anchoring the ABC news program in Brisbane for five years.
