Misleading statements ruining credibility of talks, say archdiocesan authorities
The HinduThe Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocesan authorities have said “misleading” statements are ruining the credibility of the ongoing talks by the vicar of the Major Archbishop Joseph Pamplany with different groups to permanently settle the dispute over the Unified Mass. Archbishop Pamplany is meeting different groups of lay people and priests to settle the dispute over Mass and anyone can seek time to meet the archbishop with prior appointment, said Father Joshy Puthuva, Public Relations Officer of the archdiocese. The archdiocesan authorities said that untimely statements, press conferences, and the spread of misleading ideas through social media are banned. In the meanwhile, the Samyukta Sabha Samrakshana Samithi, which strongly supports the Synod decision on Unified Mass, said that the news spread by the rebel group about the discussions with the vicar of the major archbishop will create misunderstanding and are against the facts.
