New website for Civil Services Examination prelims registration has errors: applicants

Spelling mistakes and failure to generate one-time passwords are among several glitches reported by applicants applying online for the preliminary Civil Services Examination 2025 to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in May. Months after the alleged scam by sacked Indian Administrative Service probationer Puja Khedkar, who forged documents to clear the exams, the UPSC introduced changes. Glitches in UPSC website Aspirants took to social media to state that the online form spelled university as “Universtiy”, characters as “charachers”, and had grammatical errors. The FAQ said that applicants who had successfully submitted their application form could edit or update the application when a “correction window” is made available after the last date of registration.
