Shinan sets out to be first-class innovation highland (Ⅰ)
China DailyDuring the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Shinan district of Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – plans to develop itself as a first-class innovation highland. It will pursue three strategic principles and 14 development goals that are designed to target the industrial upgrading and innovative transformation of the district, according to local media reports on Jan 17. By creating an open and innovative area – as well as a leading district for development and a dynamic area for full-range industrial incubation – Shinan is expected to morph into a first-class and world-leading innovation highland. District driven by sci-tech innovation, quality development The district will continue to pursue comprehensive innovation led by scientific and technological innovation and will focus on the new targets of Qingdao, to speed up its development as an international innovative city.
