Nisha Dahiya became the fifth Indian female wrestler to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics after defeating Romania’s Alexandra Anghel in the 68kg semi-finals at the World Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul on Friday. World U-23 bronze medallist Dahiya, who had won silver in the Asian Championships last year, defeated Anghel 8-4 to enter the 68kg final and secure another Olympic quota for her country in the process. While Panghal obtained an Olympic quota in 53kg category with a bronze-medal finish at the World Championships last year, Phogat, Anshu Malik and Reetika Hooda clinched the spots for the country at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in March.
