Scott Jennings gets an earful from Michigan Dem over Trump's tariff disaster in her state
Raw StoryCNN conservative Scott Jennings got a lecture from a Michigan Democratic lawmaker on Sunday morning after he tried to downplay the impact Donald Trump's tariffs are having on local economies. Sitting on a panel, moderated by "State of the Union" host Jake Tapper, Jennings attempted to downplay Trump's declining approval numbers and asserted, "My point is Trump is trying to make a long-term structural change to the economy. That led Rep. Haley Stevens to jump into the fray and direct him to Trump's plan to cancel the CHIPS and Science Act, a law signed by former President Joe Biden in 2022 that gives funding to companies to manufacture semiconductors stateside. "He's going to cancel the CHIPS Act and he's putting on tariffs on steel and aluminum ––from Canada, from Canada," she emphasized.
