Plea to check violations by higher educational institutions in A.P.
The HinduMembers of Andhra Pradesh Technical and Professional Institutions Employees Association have alleged gross irregularities and misuse of guidelines by several educational institutions and have urged the authorities concerned to initiate effective measures to check the violations. “He has irregular qualifications, including a fake Ph.D and he is simultaneously pursuing an M. Tech degree in regular mode in the same college, which is a clear violation of the norms,” said Mr. Reddy. Alleging corruption during ratification process, he said several professors involved in the ratification process had allegedly accepted bribes to approve candidates who did not meet the required qualifications and during the Fee Fixation Committee inspections, financial irregularities and other malpractice had been reported, compromising the integrity of the process. Stating that such gross violation of the rulebook would tarnish the reputation of the State’s higher education system, he requested the officials concerned to initiate a thorough investigation into these issues and take strict action against individuals and institutions.
