BJP leader questions absence of DMK in agitation against Adani group in New Delhi
The HinduSeeking reasons from the DMK for its absence during the agitation staged against the Adani group in New Delhi, the BJP senior leader H. Raja said that the DMK’s double standards had been exposed here on Friday. Speaking to media persons after garlanding the statue of B. R. Ambedkar marking his anniversary, he said that the conscience of the DMK leaders had stopped them from participating in the agitation. Talking of the death of three persons in Chennai suburb after allegedly consuming water mixed with gutter, he said that when the officials claimed that they were examining the cause for the death, the response from Minister Anbarasu showed his arrogance. When a scribe asked Mr Raja why PM Narendra Modi had not visited Manipur where the riots had taken place for long, he asked the journalists to pose the same question to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin as to why he had not visited Kallakurichi district, where the illicit arrack claimed over 60 lives.
