With 25 suicide bids in 17 months, Delhi Metro is turning into the capital's suicide point

With at least 25 attempted suicides in 17 months, the Delhi Metro is turning into a suicide point for the national capital. Figures also show that between 2014 and 2018, there have been 80 suicide bids inside Delhi Metro stations. In the wake of the increasing number of suicide bids, Delhi Metro has also installed glass barriers on the platforms which open only when the train arrives at the station. When the metro railway authorities were questioned on the increasing number of suicide bids, they refused to answer saying that it is a police matter.
