Construction of ward offices to be expedited in Tiruchi
The HinduTiruchi Corporation has initiated steps to expedite the construction of multi-purpose office spaces comprising an exclusive office for the councillors to receive grievances and meet residents. Meanwhile, construction of office space is underway at a few wards, including Ward 16 at Viswas Nagar, Ward 35 on Senthaneerpuram Gandhi Street, Ward 36 at Kongu Nagar, Ward 37 at Ganapathy Nagar, Ward 55 at Gandhi Nagar, Ward 59 on Illupur Main Road, Ward 47 at Sundarraj Nagar, Ward 48 on Erikarai Road, Ward 49 on Subbaiya Street and Ward 21 on Ibrahim Park Road. A tender will be floated next week to construct office space in wards 22 and 23 on Thillainagar 80 feet Road and near Eda Street, respectively. The proposed multi-purpose office space will have separate office space for the ward councillor, the revenue inspector, the bill collector, and the sanitary inspector and supervisor. Officials said the ward and sanitary office will help residents resolve ward-level grievances instead of visiting the zonal and main offices.
