Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate says council budget is 'responsible' during unprecedented times

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate says he has handed down a "responsible" budget during challenging times with a rates freeze delivered to most of the city's property owners, but no additional funding for the struggling tourism sector. Key points: Mayor Tom Tate said there would be a zero rates increase due to a $64 rebate which would benefit 137,800 properties.
