Deworm tablets distributed to students in the Salem district

On the National Deworming Day, deworming tablets were distributed to children in Salem district on Monday. On Monday, special camps were conducted and deworming tablets distributed to the children and women. Salem District Collector R. Brindha Devi said that these deworming tablets are distributed to children aged 1 to 19 and for women aged 20 to 30 years, except pregnant and lactating mothers, free of cost. In Salem district, a total of 13.42 lakh people get deworming tablets, including 11.47 lakh children aged between 1 and 19 years and 2.24 lakh women aged between 20 and 30.
