PTI The funeral procession for former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92, will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday from the All India Congress Committee headquarters, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal announced. Legacy as Prime Minister During his decade as prime minister, from 2004 to 2014, Manmohan Singh oversaw landmark legislation, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, the Right to Information Act, and the National Food Security Act. Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi, and several opposition leaders visited Singh’s residence to offer condolences.
