Zika virus cases reach 106 in Rajasthan, over 324 health teams deployed across state

Zika Virus cases in Rajasthan has been increasing with the number of cases rising to 106 on Thursday. According to ANI, 324 health teams have been deployed in Zika virus affected wards of Jaipur's Shastri Nagar. On Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry directed the National Centre for Disease Control to monitor the cases on a daily basis and urged people not to panic. Health Minister J P Nadda chaired a high-level meeting to review the activities for prevention and control of Zika virus on Tuesday and stressed the need to undertake exhaustive control measures, including fogging, while strengthening surveillance to facilitate early detection of cases.
