Elon Musk's xAI company launches Aurora, an AI image generation model

India Today

Elon Musk's AI company, xAI, has officially launched its first image generation model, Aurora, after a brief appearance over the weekend. Aurora, xAI's native image generation model, is described as an autoregressive mixture-of-experts network that has been trained on billions of images from the internet. Beyond text, the model also has native support for multimodal input, allowing it to take inspiration from or directly edit user-provided images," the company said in a blogpost. Aurora relies on an external model called Flux, developed by Black Forest Labs, for image generation.
