Pressing priority in Ukraine is to facilitate peace talks: China

Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi addresses the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters in New York City. Wang also said Beijing would continue to work for "peaceful reunification" with Taiwan, and that it should combat "independence separatist activities" while taking forceful steps to oppose any external interference. After the meeting, China accused the United States of sending "very wrong, dangerous signals" on Taiwan after Blinken told Wang that the maintenance of peace and stability of Taiwan was vitally important.
