Navaratri 2022: PV, 2W retails zoom past pre-Covid levels

The retail sales of passenger vehicles and two-wheelers during Navaratri 2022 showed a positive trend as they were not only higher than in Navaratri 2021 but also went past the figures achieved in Navaratri 2019, which was a usual pre-Covid period. The PV retails rose 70.43% to 1,10,521 units in Navaratri 2022 from 64,850 units in Navaratri 2021, the data released by the industry-body Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations on October 10 showed. The retail sales of three-wheelers improved by 115.25% to 19,809 units in Navaratri 2022 from 9,203 units in the same period last year. So far as the commercial vehicle segment is concerned, the retail sales increased by 48.25% to 22,437 units in Navaratri 2022 from 15,135 units in Navaratri 2021. The total retails, including those of PVs, CVs, two-wheelers, three-wheelers and tractors, jumped 57.46% to 5,39,227 units in Navaratri 2022 from 3,42,459 units in the same period last year.
