IIM-Bangalore student falls to death from hostel after celebrating 29th birthday
India TodayA 29-year-old student of the Indian Institute of Management in Bengaluru died after he fell from the second floor of his hostel, police said on Monday. Nilay Kailashbhai Patel, who belonged from Gujarat's Surat, went to his hostel room after cutting the cake in his friend's room after midnight, police said. It is likely that Patel, a student of Post Graduate Programme in Management, accidentally fell from the second floor balcony, while he was going back to his room after the birthday party. "We are awaiting the post-mortem report, which will likely come in three days, to ascertain the cause of death," the officer told news agency PTI. "It is with profound sadness that IIM-Bangalore shares the news of the untimely passing of our PGP 2023-25 student, Nilay Kailashbhai Patel.
