Villagers staged rasta roko on NH-44 seeking justice to kin of Dalit girl

NIZAMABAD: Jakranpally locals and Dalit organisers staged a rasta roko on National Highway 44 on Friday demanding stringent action against a man for the murder of a Dalit girl. Their hour-long rasta rook brought vehicular traffic on the Hyderabad-Nagpur highway to a halt before police intervened. BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy visited the victim at GGH during his visit to Nizamabad on Tuesday The victim succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday night. Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan assured help to the family members of the deceased.
