Former MP demands re-examination for recruitment of Junior Inspectors

Puducherry Maanila Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam has urged the government to conduct a re-examination for recruitment of Junior Inspectors in the Department of Co-operation. The competitive examination conducted recently for the recruitment of Junior Inspectors did not help in assessing the competency of the candidates, he said. “In the last competitive examination held in 2006 for the same post, the question paper had given a weightage of 80 points to auditing and accountancy and the remaining areas received only 20 points. Even in the recent recruitment examination conducted by the government for the post of Junior Engineer and Overseer, majority of questions were from core subject areas.
