Reports said Donald Trump’s running mate went and checked on the media travelling with him after the jet “fishtailed” and skidded at LaGuardia Airport at around 8pm on Thursday night. Live television footage showed Mr Pence standing in the rain near the plane among emergency vehicles, talking to police and other officials. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump called Pence to check on him after the incident, the campaign said.
