Sabra Lane: The United Nations climate talks are continuing this week in Azerbaijan and there are lots of lobbyists there talking up carbon sequestration, a controversial technology that aims to capture and bury carbon dioxide emissions. Daniel Mercer: Danny Woodall is the director of operations for the plant's owner, US oil and gas behemoth Chevron. Danny Woodall: All studies that you look at, whether it's IEA or other sources, say that carbon capture and storage must be part of the solution going forward. Daniel Mercer: Backers of the technology acknowledge Gorgon's problems, but say they shouldn't be conflated with the broader potential of carbon capture and storage. Sabra Lane: That's Dimitri Lafleur from the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility, Daniel Mercer reporting there.
