No one killed Pehlu Khan. He made sure, with Sacred Games 2, that even though his open letter to the Prime Minister of India might have been tossed aside as 'overreaction', he hit people where it hurts the most: with entertainment. So Kashyap and Ghaywan make sure one of the most important scenes in this season of Sacred Games is the one with a Muslim youth being lynched. Under the veneer of being the story of Ganesh Gaitonde, Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan have given the Indian audience some food for thought even as some celebrate the murder of a Pehlu Khan and the ruling party plasters a full-page ad with rape-accused MP Kuldeep Sengar on it. Fittingly, Sacred Games 2 pays a tribute to THAT line from Gangs of Wasseypur: "Baap ka, dada ka, bhai ka, sab ka badla lega re tera Phaijal" in its "65 ka, 71 ka, 99 ka, sab ka karza chukayega."
