BJP received 75% of its donation from Tata Group's Progressive Electoral Trust

The Bharatiya Janata Party received Rs 356 crores from the Progressive Electoral Trust in the financial year 2018-19, which was the highest amount received by the party from any corporate. During 2018-2019, the BJP received donations worth Rs 473 crore from different corporates. The share of Progressive Electoral Trust, a trust owned by the Tata Group, was 75 per cent of this.
