Visakhapatnam police to deploy AI-powered traffic management system

Visakhapatnam: The city police are set to revolutionize traffic management with the implementation of an artificial intelligence system that will enhance both traffic control and crime prevention capabilities. In a conversation with the Deccan Chronicle, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Praveen Kumar revealed that the department has initiated a pilot project to integrate AI technology into the city's traffic management infrastructure. The AI-driven traffic management system will also feature intelligent traffic lights that adapt their timing based on real-time traffic conditions. He also briefed about the Challan process, stating that the AI-powered system will automatically generate and send challans to violators while simultaneously alerting the nearest Station House Officer about accidents or roadside altercations.
