Father, son dupe Mumbai diamond merchant of Rs 1.9 crore; police launch manhunt

India Today

A diamond dealer in Mumbai was allegedly duped of diamonds worth Rs 1.92 crore by a father and son, who are still at large. Back in September, the victim, Priyank Shah, a diamond merchant, met one of the accused, Kishore Abhangi, who was introduced as the director of Parth Diamonds by a diamond broker. Limbasia urged Shah to hand over 459 carats of diamonds, worth Rs 1.92 crore, to the Abhangis. However, the accused kept stalling despite several follow-ups from Shah, occasionally telling him that they were still showing the diamond pieces to potential buyers.
