Sticky Situation: Hamlin’s title run ends with tape gaffe
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin poses with the Harley J. Earl Trophy with his girlfriend Jordan Fisher after winning the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in this file photo of 2016. Hamlin's air of confidence came across the team radio when he boasted the race "ain't over" as he made a late push to the lead. "I really just wanted a chance to go after them after that pit stop," Hamlin said. Hamlin's season was sensational from the start, opening with an emotional Daytona 500 victory that he dedicated to late son of team owner Joe Gibbs.
