A popular national park in the Kimberley all but washed away by last year's floods is expected to reopen to visitors just in time for the 2024 dry season. Danggu Geikie Gorge recorded an influx of visitors in the 2021-22 tourist season, but the area was inundated with water and facilities damaged when the Fitzroy River rose 15 metres in 2023's flood disaster.
