Ben Stokes insists England are prepared to go even more attacking than usual in order to get the win they need to ensure that the Ashes are still up for grabs in the final Test next week. With rain forecast in Manchester throughout the week, England may be forced to throw caution to the wind in order to keep the series alive, and Stokes insists his side are ‘desperate’ to win the Ashes back, ahead of the fourth Test against Australia, which starts on Thursday in Manchester. Asked about whether he read anything into it, Stokes responded: ‘No - I’m only 32,’ And Stokes admitted that Jimmy Anderson, returning in place of Ollie Robinson, is raring to go at his home ground, after missing out at Headingley and that he has no concerns about his form, despite Anderson taking just three wickets across the first two Tests at an average of 75.33. ‘Back here at Old Trafford, bowling at the end that's named after him, I think he's very excited this week,’ said Stokes. 'When we go out in groups for coffees or are on the golf course, we have people come up and take a moment to say how much they’ve enjoyed this Ashes series,' said Stokes.
