Syrian Prez Assad to Send Hezbollah Missile Defence System, Wagner to Deliver Weapon

News 18

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad agreed to send a Russian-made missile defence system, the SA-22 aka Pantsir, to the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, news agency CNN said in a report. The report did not specify whether the missile defence system was delivered or how close it is to delivery but it said that Russian mercenary group Wagner Group, which has been operating in Syria for almost a decade, has been tasked to carry out the delivery. The CNN’s report which cited intelligence officials of the US said that the officials came to the conclusion that after receiving intel on discussions among Assad, Wagner and Hezbollah about the delivery of the missile system. This new development will concern Israel because a new air defence system for Hezbollah means it could follow through with its warnings to Israel post Hamas-led October 7 attacks, where it warned that attacks on Gazan civilians would open a new front in Israel’s war on Hamas, on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
