ABCA year ago today, when Scott Morrison described the "rapidly evolving" situation surrounding a mystery virus in China, odds are he had no idea how significant it was about to become. January It may seem like a lifetime ago now, but January 23, 2020, is one of the first times the Prime Minister speaks about the new "virus" originating from China. The tone also becomes more foreboding with Mr Morrison declaring "human coronavirus of pandemic potential" was now listed in the Biosecurity Act, meaning the Government could change the border measures. It's also when the Prime Minister begins to frame this as a battle, one where "we are fighting the virus", another line that he comes back to many times in the coming months.
