IIT Madras startup making Bluetooth-enabled wearable tracker to detect Covid-19 symptoms
A IIT Madras-incubated startup called Muse Wearables is developing a wearable tracker like a wristband that measures body vitals for early detection of Covid-19 symptoms. These Covid-19 trackers created by the IIT Madras incubated startup will help the current situation in early hypoxia detection as well as patient care and will lead to a better health Management of suspected patients or localities. Product design for Covid-19 tracker completed Muse Wearables, which was incubated by IIT Madras Incubation Cell, has already completed product design for the tracker and are now working on finalizing and fabricating the product. Features of the wearable tracker by IIT Madras startup The unique features of the wearable tracker being created by the IIT Madras startup include: Comfortable to wear on the wrist at all times as compared to a fingertip based SPO2 sensor Wrist based continuous SpO2, skin temperature and heart rate tracking Remote monitoring of patient vitals by doctors etc Automatic alerts and emergency response system if a user's vitals are out of range Automatic Activity Tracking Automatic Sleep Tracking Long Battery Life Users can raise an Emergency Alert in case of any difficulty and the alert raised when body temperature is higher than the threshold.
