Trinamool's Yusuf Pathan has edge over Adhir Ranjan in Baharampur: Exit poll

Cricketer-turned-politician and Trinamool Congress candidate Yusuf Pathan has an edge in West Bengal's Baharampur Lok Sabha seat, which has been a Congress stronghold since 2009, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicted. Yusuf Pathan has emerged as a strong contender against sitting MP and Congress candidate Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, who has represented the constituency since 2009, the exit poll predicted. Over the last three Lok Sabha elections, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has had consistent electoral success from Baharampur seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he secured his seat by defeating Apurba Sarkar of Trinamool Congress with a margin of 80,696 votes.
