CM concerned over security breach in Parliament
Deccan ChronicleChennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin demanded a prompt investigation into the Parliament incident in which two persons leaped out of the visitors’ gallery into the flood of the House and even opened a yellow smoke emitting canister on Wednesday. ‘The unprecedented security breach in the parliament poses a dangerous threat to our august temple of democracy,’ Stalin said in his message on X and demanded swift action without delay. TNCC President K S Alagiri said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should take responsibility for the incident that had happened on the anniversary of the 2021 Parliament attack by terrorists that left six persons dead. PMK founder S Ramadoss said that the incident raised several questions and one of them was if the new Parliament Building had adequate security arrangements, mainly because the culprits had managed to jump into the floor of the House from the visitors’ gallery.
