Thank you for spreading the ice bucket challenge

I have cried many tears of joy in the past fortnight watching the world embrace the ice bucket challenge and finally gaze at the insidious disease that took my husband, Rob, writes Michaela Carr. I have shed many tears in the past fortnight because of the ice bucket challenge for ALS/MND. Not just because I lost my husband, Rob, to motor neurone disease in 2008 but because I have cried tears of joy watching the world finally gaze at this insidious condition. Rob would be so thrilled with the impact of the ice bucket challenge and the global phenomenon it has become.
