Mosquitoes at Kolkata airport frustrate flyers; staff files complaint

India Today

Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport or the Kolkata Airport as the presence of mosquitoes made life miserable for flyers and airline staff. According to a report published in the Times of India, the terminal becomes a vulnerable place for mosquitoes due to the presence of long grass and wet areas inside the airport premises. As per the reports, another Twitter user appealed to the Kolkata airport and the DGCA authorities to abide by the Swachh Bharat protocols and get rid of the mosquitoes from the airport. C Pattabhi, the airport director, told TOI that this area gets infected with mosquitoes in winter and the airport staff are trying their best to get rid of them.
