Telangana Govt Plans Overhaul of Higher Education Recruitment

Deccan Chronicle

HYDERABAD: Higher education principal secretary N. Sridhar, urged universities to identify their most critical challenges and propose solutions directly to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The decision was taken during discussions led by the Telangana Council of Higher Education on Friday, where Vice Chancellors from state universities highlighted the crippling impact of delayed recruitments and budgetary constraints on academic growth and student welfare. TGCHE also announced its plan to revise undergraduate curricula, aligning them with industry demands, and forging partnerships with institutions like IIT Madras and TCS to equip students with emerging skills. The TGCHE Newsletter, launched during the meeting, would highlight ongoing initiatives to strengthen the higher education framework.
