State govt. must take responsibility for demolition of Kasinayana Jyothi Kshetram, says YSRCP leader
The HinduYSR Congress Party leader and former MLA Malladi Vishnu has condemned the demolition of structures at the sacred Kasinayana Jyothi Kshetram in Badvel constituency of Kadapa district, holding the National Democratic Alliance government responsible for the demolitions. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office at Tadepalli on Friday, Mr. Vishnu said that the structures demolished included facilities such as community kitchens, resting places for devotees, a cowshed, and service centres, all of which were vital for the functioning of the sacred site. Referring to HRD Minister Nara Lokesh’s statement in the Assembly that he would build the demolished structures at his own expense and offering an apology, Mr. Vishnu said it was a mere political stunt. He sought to know why Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the Minister in charge of the Forest Department, did not take responsibility or issue an apology.
