Two new opinion polls highlight downturn in PVV fortunes

Two new opinion polls show a decline in support for the far-right PVV and a further drop in backing for the four-party coalition. A poll by current affairs show EenVandaag suggests Geert Wilders’ party has fallen by four seats to 34 in the month to February 25, while the NSC has dropped from three to two. In total, the right-wing coalition would command only 60 seats if a general election were held tomorrow, the poll suggests. Another poll from pollster Maurice de Hond also has the PVV on 34 seats, or about 23% support.
