Speedy delivery and tech in stores: How retailers are prepping for the holidays

New York CNN Business — Walmart, Target and Best Buy this week rolled out plans to woo shoppers during the holidays, focusing on early deals, speedier deliveries and beefed-up service in stores. “This year is a bit unique for our customers,” Steve Bratspies, Walmart chief merchandising officer, said on a call with reporters. Target said it is increasing its holiday payroll by $50 million compared with last year and will increase the number of hours employees work during the holidays.
