Doctor shortage in Glen Innes alleviated with help of Attract Connect Stay pilot

For the past five years Glenn Innes general practitioner Peter Annetts was "desperate" to find a new doctor to work at his medical clinic. Key points: The Attract Connect Stay pilot program has secured several doctors and allied health professionals for Glen Innes The community raised money to pay for a recruiter to manage the program Its success means it could be expanded to other sectors "It was really looking like the services were going to go downhill," Dr Annetts said. But Glen Innes is now bucking the trend thanks to a pilot program called Attract Connect Stay which has secured two doctors and several allied health workers in the past 12 months. Plan to expand service Glen Innes is the first NSW town to adopt the Attract Connect Stay program.
