
Mahadevappa visits Udayagiri police station after stone-pelting incident
The HinduMinister in charge of Mysuru district H.C. Mahadevappa on Thursday visited the Udayagiri police station along with the deputy commissioner and senior police officials in connection with the stone-pelting incident that took place outside the police station on Monday night over a derogatory social media post. While appreciating the Udayagiri police for the timely action and controlling the situation, the Minister said the CCB, which is probing the incident, will look into all aspects and the reasons for the trouble. “The arrests have been made based on the footage.” Mr. Mahadevappa said the deputy commissioner and the police commissioner briefed him immediately after the incident. On the demand for another police station in the locality, the Minister said there is no need for another station if everyone complies with the law.
