Literary tours to promote Telugu language among children: Pawan Kalyan
Deccan ChronicleVijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has said the state government would organise Telugu literary tours to promote the language among children and younger generations. The deputy CM emphasised the need to construct memorials for prominent literary figures like Sri Sri, Gurajada Appa Rao, Venkata Chalam, Gurram Jashuva, Viswanatha Satyanarayana, Devulapalli Krishnasastri and Bal Gangadhar Tilak in their respective native places. These centres would preserve their memories, aid in the development of these areas, and serve as knowledge hubs to inspire future generations with their immense contributions to Telugu literature, he said. Pawan Kalyan said the state government would explore the possibility of developing circuit tourism by integrating famous libraries such as the CP Brown Library, the Gowthami Library, and the Vetapalem Library with the residences of literary figures.
