Slow development work adds to traffic woes
Traffic flow in several parts of the city has been adversely affected due to various development works going on in city at a snail's pace. Construction of the under-path near Lodhi club has also added to the problems of the residents of Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Rajguru Nagar, Barewal road, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and their surrounding areas. The police have closed the road from two places including Dhuri line railway crossing and the railway crossing between Pakhowal road and Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. MP Singh, a resident of Jawahar Nagar area, said, “Instead of starting several development works together, the authorities should wait before starting another project, as it cause several problems.” Dhruman Nimbale, ACP traffic, said, “Since several development works are being carried oput, the traffic wing has diverted the traffic to other roads.
