53,000 Houses Ready for Poor Tribals Across Eight AP Districts Free of Cost
Deccan ChronicleVIJAYAWADA: As many as 53,000 houses would be distributed to poor tribals across eight AP districts, free of cost, under the PMAY-Gramin scheme. Eight districts - Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvatipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Eluru, Palnadu, Prakasam and Nandyal - involving 98 mandals dotted with 1,041 gram panchayats will see the 52,907 households becoming proud owners of their own houses. Special chief secretary to housing, Ajay Jain, said PVTG HHs were identified in eight districts namely Alluri Sitarama Raju, Parvathipuram Manyam 9,904, Prakasam 2,515, Nandyal 1,944, Srikakulam 3,366, Palnadu 1,345, Eluru 808 and Vizianagaram 498. Deputy CM and minister for tribal welfare P. Rajanna Dora said Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only CM arduously working to provide as high as 32 lakh houses to the homeless and facilitating distribution of homes to 53,000 tribals under the central scheme.
