Brisbane Test: Pujara goes past Kohli on list of visiting batsmen to face most balls in Australia since 2010
India TodayCheteshwar Pujara added yet another feather to his illustrious cap on Tuesday as he went past Virat Kohli to grab the second spot on the list of visiting Test batsmen who have faced the most balls in Australia since 2010. Pujara broke Rahul Dravid's Indian record for the most balls faced in a Test series in Australia on his last tour when he amassed 521 runs from 1258 deliveries at an average of 74.43. Former England captain Alastair Cook leads the list with 2725 balls while India captain Virat Kohli, who went back home to Mumbai for his paternity leave after the Adelaide Test, has faced 2544 deliveries in red-ball cricket in Australia. The Sydney Test witnessed Pujara score back-to-back half-centuries off 174 and 170 balls in the first and second innings respectively to help India draw that game and keep the series alive.
